Wipe each pearl individually with a soft cloth, dampened with a solution of a few drops of mild liquid (e.g. Dawn) and two cups of warm water. Do not soak the entirestrand of pearls (This can cause string stretching). Let air dry and store in a pouch or box. To avoid scratches, do not let the pearls come in contact with other jewelry or sharp objects. |
CARE TIPS: Avoid contact with chlorine (e.g. swimming pools and household cleaners). Also, put on pearls AFTER applying perfume, hairspray and cosmetics. |

Jewelry containing "SOFT" stones (Such as Turquoise, Malachite and Opals) needs special care. Never dip them into jewelry cleaning solution. Rinse in warm water. If necessary, scrub gently with a soft brush and let air dry. Cleaning the metal around the stone should be performed with the use of soft cloth, possibly sprayed with silver polish, or special cleaning cloth containing such material |
Soft stones |

Soak in a solution of one part ammonia, 4 parts warm water. Gently scrub with a soft-bristle brush especially in areas such as settings, where dirt tends to build up. Rinse with warm water and lay on clean cotton cloth to dry. Build up of soap scum & oily residue causes the stones to look cloudy, and lose its "shine". Thus it is imperative that you either clean it often, or get it cleaned with an "Ultrasonic cleaning" machine, which cleans thoroughly behind the stones, restoring their original shiny look. |
